Community History Archivist (Feb 2017 to Aug 2017)
TODCO Group | San Francisco

Oversaw the digitization and organization of historical materials related to the 30-year development history of Yerba Buena Redevelopment project’s development and community litigation. Conducted interviews about the historical documents and built digital database to facilitate future research.

Urban Design Consultant (June 2016 to Nov 2016)

Consulted for the development of the UI/UX of UrbanCanvas and UrbanDesigner software for Urban Planners, Designers and Policy makers. The job required me to bridge the gap between Urban Designers/Planners and core programmers.

Architect & Urban Design Consultant (June 2012 to Aug 2014)
Studio Urban Milieu | New Delhi

Produced research and design development reports; presented projects for approvals to government agencies. Lead team of 3 architects to produce requisite drawings and graphical materials and ensured completion. Projects: Development of Nehra Pahari at Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan as an ecological sanctuary and public space; multifamily high-rise housing projects with urban design guidelines; single family residences.

Intern Architect (Jan 2012 - May 2012)

Designed graphics for Ramganga Ecotourism Map. Delhi 2050 assisted in the website design and management, coordinated events for Delhi 2050. Produced design options and construction drawings for the restoration of ‘Nimmu’ House (Laddakh) and development of a tourist rest house.

As VP Finance and Services I am responsible for the health of YUGSA’s budget. In the course of my term as VP Finance I will create a fiscal budget for the year, adjudicate funding and donation applications for students, and disperse operating grant funds (OGFs) to departmental graduate student associations (DGSAs).

Affordable Housing Committee at York University (Since Sept 2018)

York University Graduate Students’ Association representative in the committee. This committee aims to build affordable coop housing for staff and students on York’s Keele campus by 2024.

CUPE 3903 - Advisory Committee on Race/Ethnic Relations, Discrimination and Harassment (Sept 2018 - May 2019)

This is a joint-committee of CUPE 3903 and York University is to discuss and investigate systemic and/or individual discrimination, interference, restriction, harassment or coercion exercised or practiced with respect to any union member in her employment relationship, by reason of race, colour, nationality, ancestry, place of origin or native language. The committee works closely with the Anti-Racism Working Group and may also make recommendations to the Labour-Management Committee.

Vice-President - College of Environmental Design Student of Color, UC Berkeley (May 2015 - May 2016)

CEDSOC is a student organization at UC Berkeley that engages in advocacy for students of color at CED, to promote social justice in the environmental design. I assisted the CEDSOC team in its annual curriculum survey that intended to gauge the reception of the curriculum by the communities of color at CED. The findings of the survey were presented to the faculty (and departments) along with recommendations to make the curriculum more inclusive. In addition, I also managed the finances and grant application on behalf of CEDSOC. I also organized film screenings, member meetings, and other public events focusing on issues like caste discrimination, mass incarceration etc.

Member of BLM (Black Lives Matter) Allies at CED, College of Environmental Design, UC Berkeley (Dec 2015 - Dec 2016)

Assisted in organizing movement to address and incorporate anti-black racism (currently and historically) into the department’s curriculum and programming. This included grant applications to host BLM Teach-ins etc. as well as a successful campaign for reinstating the Deans Diversity Scholarship at CED.
